NEUROPUBLIC is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will join our R&D Department in Piraeus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Managing and Coordinating the whole lifecycle of EC funded Research and Innovation projects, such as HE ScaleAgData (https://scaleagdata.eu/), HE QuantiFarm (https://quantifarm.eu/), HE Farmtopia (https://farmtopia.eu/) and H2020 Ploutos (https://ploutos-h2020.eu/).

Requirements

• Managing scope, tasks and writing deliverables and reports.
• Working closely with the PMO to manage financial issues.
• Coordinating with teams of specialists within and outside the company to execute assigned tasks.
• Coordinating with partners and monitoring work packages on a frequent basis.
• Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of piloting activities.
• Participating in Communication and Dissemination activities.
• Participating in proposal writing for projects in the context of Horizon Europe and other funding instruments.
• Preparing and delivering presentations in networking events

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in managing European projects, focusing especially on H2020/HE programme.
• Experience in the coordination of projects will be appreciated.
• BSc in Engineering / Computer Science or Agronomic Sciences or relevant field.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in projects focused on Smart Farming/ Digital Agriculture and/or on IoT, Earth Observation and Big Data technologies will be a plus.
• A solid (technical) understanding of remote sensing and Earth Observation applications in agriculture is essential.
• Experience in leading Communication and Dissemination Tasks/Work Packages in the Agri-Food sector.
• PMP certification would be a plus.

NEUROPUBLIC seeks to recruit a skilled backend developer to join our agriculture data governance/management team, based at our head office in Piraeus, Attica, Greece.
The role would suit a candidate with minimum 2-3 years’ experience focusing on the implementation of data modeling and data management frameworks with a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will be working with a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team contributing to national and European projects designing and implementing information systems for data sharing in agriculture domain.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute in technical requirements analysis
• Data model specification
• Design, implement and support data management systems
• Design and implement security mechanism and data access control policies
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure system documentation is kept current and accurate
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• A University degree in Informatics, Computer Science or related field
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
• Working experience with Java 7/8 and/or Python
• Working experience with ORMs
• Knowledge to build REST web services
• Excellent understanding of the development process (information gathering, planning, design, development)
• Versions control systems (Git)
• Excellent Greek and/or English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Team player and communicate effectively
• Motivated to learn new skills and apply new knowledge in practice

Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with semantic technologies (XML, RDF, RDFS,OWL data models, Triplestores and SPARQL endpoints)
• Familiarity with developmental, modeling languages (UML)
• Familiarity with test-automation frameworks
