«Agriculture with Intelligence» Digital Transformation of the Agricultural Sector

For the first time in Europe, NEUROPUBLIC introduces a new approach to agricultural policy by establishing a comprehensive, nationwide smart farming system.

As part of a large-scale, decade-long investment program, the company now operates its own production line for agro-meteorological stations, employs specialized scientific personnel, and maintains an extensive network of partners within the agricultural sector, enabling it to support a nationwide Technological Infrastructure.

In short

The ‘Agriculture with Intelligence’ represents a significant step toward the Digital Transformation of the agricultural sector, aiming to improve the efficiency and sustainability of farming practices at a national level.

NEUROPUBLIC plays a leading role, thanks to its expertise and experience in the field. The Ministry of Rural Development and Food implements the project, with contractors including NEUROPUBLIC, the OTE Group, and the advertising agency SKARMOUTOS GEORGIOS.

The project covers 70% of Greek agricultural land and includes:

  • 3.000 wireless meteorological stations and 50 agro-meteorological stations (high-precision sensors)
  • 50 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with multispectral cameras
  • High-resolution satellite data collection
  • Conducting field experiments in 50 parcels
  • Cloud computing infrastructure for data storage and processing
  • 15 Distribution and Support Centers all over Greece
  • Development and implementation of a smart farming software platform
  • Execution of publicity and awareness campaigns

Highlights

Enhanced Production Quality and Quantity

The Project leverages precise data to boost crop yields and improve product quality.

It seeks to reduce pesticides, fertilizers, and water usage while promoting sustainable farming practices, by conserving resources and reducing costs.

Cost Saving & Risk Management

“Agriculture with Intelligence” aims to increase producers’ profits by lowering production costs through controlled and optimized input applications.

It provides comprehensive data that enables producers to respond more effectively to risks, benefiting from early warnings and timely interventions.

Environmental and Climate Impact Reduction

It reduces agriculture’s footprint through smart resource management and complies with the EU Regulatory Framework and CAP 2023-2027, ensuring alignment with the latest agricultural policies and regulations.

Data Aggregation and Organization of Production

Enhances agri-cooperative efforts by combining data from multiple sources, optimizing production strategies, and improving resource allocation.

This collaborative approach ensures that all members benefit from shared insights and strategies, ensuring a smoother and faster digital transition to the benefit of the farming community.
