Participation of NEUROPUBLIC in the 2nd General Assembly of AIOTI

NEUROPUBLIC participated in the second General Assembly of AIOTI (Alliance for the Internet of Things Innovation – https://www.aioti.eu), as one of its members.

The meeting took place on June 30th, 2017 in Brussels, Belgium with more than 100 participants. The organizations represented in the meeting included IBM, Texas Instruments, Philips Lighting, Huawei, Nokia, Samsung, Dell, Fujitsu, Orange, Vodafone, Siemens, Bayer, John Deere as well as EC representatives. NEUROPUBLIC was represented by Dr. Vassilis Protonotarios, Outreach & Networking Manager.

The aim of the first part of the meeting was the presentation of AIOTI’s strategy for the next period, the formal collaboration between the Japanese IoT Accelerator Consortium and AIOTI, the recording of the current status of the IoT ecosystem and the presentation of the progress of AIOTI’s Working Groups, including WG06 – Smart Farming in which NEUROPUBLIC actively participates. During the second part of the meeting, which was restricted to AIOTI members, issues related to the current status of the Alliance and organizational and administrative issues were discussed, and decision on the next steps of the alliance were taken.
