NEUROPUBLIC in AIOTI’s Working Group 06 meeting

NEUROPUBLIC was one of the organizations participating in the meeting of AIOTI’s Working Group on “Smart Farming and Food Security”, in which companies including Bayer, IBM, Siemens, COPA COGECA (as the voice of European farmers and farmers’ cooperatives) and CEMA (representing innovators & developers of agricultural machinery in Europe) to name a few, as well as SMEs activated in the specific context, were represented.

The meeting took place on 30/1/2017 at the Spanish Office of Science and Technology in Brussels. It aimed at examining the current status of the implementation of Internet of Things technologies in the agricultural production, as well as discussing the next steps of the group’s activities, which will eventually affect the E.U. policies on the specific topic. During the meeting, NEUROPUBLIC’s smart farming project in Greece was briefly presented, while GAIA EPICHEIREIN was mentioned as a successful use case of a body implementing new technologies in the agricultural sector.

The Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation (AIOTI – www.aioti.eu), is the largest European network in the field of Internet of Things, bringing together the most important organizations from both the public and private sector. NEUROPUBLIC is a member of the Alliance and an active contributor of Working Group 06 «Smart Farming and Food Security».
