The “Field Collect – On-site Observations Management” application is installed on smartphones and supports filed observations while conducting on-site checks.

The “Field Collect – On-site Observations Management” application is installed on smartphones (Android and iPhone type) and supports filed observations while conducting on-site checks.

The mobile application in combination with the “GI ICM – Integrated Cultivation Management” web application provide the following capabilities:

Immediate depiction on a web-based geographical information system of the number of samples and of the respective photographic material
Certification and check capability of making the on-site observations for the sampling
System of automated notifications-alarm via SMS when the populations increase beyond predefined values
Collective and statistical reports for monitoring and evaluating the on-site observations

Highlights

It provides the feature of connecting the points of soil sampling and the points where the traps were placed with their geographical coordinates, and their depiction on an orthophotomap of the area.

When counting catches in traps, the application enables the recording of the population of each insect at each visit and per trap (with the corresponding coordinates), thus providing immediate monitoring during the critical period.

It is possible to record the phenological stage of the plant in conjunction with a series of information collected and linked to it during the field observation process (disease symptoms, entomological attacks, etc.)

The functionalities that support the above features are for marking location and taking photos, and for recording audio, video and text. In addition, it is possible to manage and monitor data collected with the help of the Field Collect mobile application from the online application “GI ICM – Integrated Farm Management”.
