SmartAgriHubs

SmartAgriHubs is a 20 million-euro flagship project, co-funded by the European Horizon 2020 program.

The project aims at the widespread digital transformation of the European agri-food sector, through the creation of an extensive pan-European Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) network.

SmartAgriHubs will utilize, enhance and connect local digital innovation hubs (local DIHs) with 20,000 Competence Centers across Europe.

The project has already incorporated 140 DIHs into 9 regional clusters, supporting 28 flagship innovation experiments.

More than 2 million farms are expected to participate through 4000 experiments, bringing the digitization process closer to the needs of farmers.

NEUROPUBLIC, the Agricultural University of Athens, the Marathon Bio Products company and gaiasense are cooperating in order to support an emblematic innovation experiment focused on developing and providing Smart farming services for the organic leafy vegetables.
